Liner Notes :
Syndicated Dreams - volume 17:
It was spring 1975 in Los Angeles, Iggy Pop was coming out of rehab, David Bowie had just arrived to begin recording "station to station" in a coke fueled haze. the Eagles were starting to work up ideas for "hotel california". Steve and I were driving around Laurel Canyon, he was drinking a beer and I was smoking a fattie. Neil Young's "on the beach" was playing on the 8-track player.
It was dusk as we made our way past Doug Weston's Troubadour club in West Hollywood. A legendary place were Elton John made his American debut in 1970 and Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstandt held court long before they were getting radio airplay and making millions.
We stopped in for a moment, nobody was around - it was "soundcheck" time, but no bands were on stage. A young waitress wearing a tube top and some very tight and bleached out Levi's walked by and offered us a free lime margarita (but no ice).
We sat there for awhile pondering our future plans, while sipping on these luke warm drinks, when Steve turned to me and said "It's a strange new world".............

Turning of The Tide 05_21_06 Steve Wynn and the Miracle Three - Ottersum - Cultureel Podium Roepaen - The Netherlands may 21 2006 Ok, here's one from the Europe may-june 2006 tour. Again a surprize, a stripped down acoustic show 'cause just like 2003 (Leiden, Q-bus april 15 2003) Linda Pitmon was not able to play the drumkit. It was searching for Steve in the beginning, he started with Jason Victor for 20 minutes. When Erik van Loo entered the stage, Steve found the vibe. Also Linda come up in her MC5 T-shirt to sing and play her tabourine. This gig was on a sunday afternoon in the "kitchenpub' of the hisoric monastery in Ottersum. A great place to see concerts. Steve said it was the best backstage he ever saw, included a Black Jack table ! Great setlist, great sundayafternoon ! Enjoy ! Here's one from the "Here come the miracles - 2001 tour" in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. We had to hurry, 'cause it was planned just just before the soundcheck in Utrecht were the gig was in the evening (Ekko). I had to hurry as well because I wanted to see this with my son, bring him back home and "fly" to Utrecht. Lovely atmosphere in the shop with about 10 or 15 listeners. My son Fred was 3 years old at that moment and stil remembers that instore where he got Steve's blue fender guitarpick... Bootleg sold shortly after the show. Weathered and Torn - 05_07_94 Steve Wynn - Solo Acoustic - The Underground - Kln Germany - May 7, 1994 I taped this in 1994 while I was living in Hamburg, Germany. Its from my personal master, taped through the soundboard with Steves kind permission. This show has a special energy IMHO. Steve had to contend with an especially obnoxious audience member down front who just wouldnt shut up. After a couple of jabs at trying to get this guy to quiet down he really lets loose on him basically threatening to smash his guitar over his head if he doesnt shut up. This adds an angry, intense energy that you wouldnt normally find in a Steve Wynn solo acoustic show. Hope you enjoy this uncirculated Steve Wynn gem. Supplied by : katstep on DIME
